What a nice lake Mud Hole Reservoir is. During the months of summer at Mud Hole Reservoir highs are generally in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and night lows at Mud Hole Reservoir throughout the winter regularly descend into the-10's. | | Campground is a brilliant place for that; pleasant hiking is available along the Jim Lake Trail. Mud Hole Reservoir is typically a pretty dry site; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. If you came to camp Scab Creek Campground is a perfect site to do that; don't leave Mud Hole Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
