Mountain Sheep Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big Sandy Campground is a great local campground; the Little Sandy Trail offers hiking at its best. Summertime highs at Mountain Sheep Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Mountain Sheep Lake       dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Dickinson Creek Campground is a perfect spot to do that, and a magnificent place for whitewater paddling is Middle Popo Agie River. All the outdoors amusing stuff right next door to Mountain Sheep Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Mountain Sheep Lake is right by the Sweetwater Trail. Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do in the Wind River                  Range. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Ice Lakes Trail is nice fun. Mountain Sheep Lake is pretty waterless usually; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is December. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful.
