Mountain Reservoir is generally a relatively waterless location; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sheridan-Days Inn, and Mountain Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Sheridan. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Sheridan is a great site to spend a night or two;       you can take a little trip to Moncreiffe Dam while you're here at Mountain Reservoir. So many cool things to do here at Mountain Reservoir, too magnificent to be true. There are magnificent locations to explore along the Story Penrose Trail; lakes are such peaceful spots, why not check out Menardi And White Reservoir. Hanes Fork is a stream that you may bump into while you're here; you can go for a hike on the Stockwell Trail. At Mountain Reservoir all through                  the days of summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mountain Reservoir sink into the 0's. Don't leave Mountain Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Penrose Park Trail, and you can stay the night at Cabin Creek Trailer Campground - Bighorn National Forest.
