Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mountain Reservoir. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mountain Reservoir. If you need a location to stay Quality Inn Sheridan is a magnificent choice; if you've had enough of Mountain Reservoir, Moncreiffe Reservoir is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Story       Penrose Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mountain Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Wagon Box Campground. Moncreiffe Dam has tremendous water scenery and it's next to Mountain Reservoir; at Mountain Reservoir you always meet someone from Sheridan. It is very arid here at Mountain Reservoir usually; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Whohoo, so many cool things in one                  place! Mountain Reservoir rules! There's so much to do here at Mountain Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Cabin Creek Trailer Campground - Bighorn National Forest is a fine place for that, and Sheridan-Days Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Stockwell Trail, and you can run the rapids of Clear Creek. There's magnificent hiking along the Penrose Park Trail, and some of the water nearby flows, like Hanes Fork.   Quality Inn Sheridan, Sheridan 8 miles away 100 percent non-smoking hotel.
