This lake is so wonderful. Moose Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Teton Campground is a tremendous local campground, and if you need a site to stay Teton Valley Cabins is a good choice. After a long day outdoors Grand Targhee Ski And Summer Resort is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Cave Falls Campground is a perfect location to do that.
A lake nearby is Loon Lake, and Gibson Meadows is a pretty place any time of year.

MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Union Falls Trail
It's not a hard hike, but it is a long one, take time to swim in the hot springs near bye and take lunch at the fall so you can get back by sun down. It is grizzly area so watch out. A friend of mine spotted two cubs on one of her trips....

Robinson Creek
16 miles away
I spent many hours on Robinson Creek fishing and I m not sure as to how is is even close to being class 2-3. It is less than knee deep in most spots. Better amend your report here....

Lake Solitude Trail
18 miles away
July 18, 2008 Just got back from a hike to the lake yesterday. Always incredibly beautiful at any time of year (when the trail is open) A lot of flowers blooming earlier than usual because of the copious amount of melt. A bull moose, sow and calf near the trail just past the fork. The last half mile is covered in snow so that can slow you down a little. The lake is still almost completely iced over. Saw two 13'' fish (trout?) in the small, open area of the lake. Marmots snuck around our lunch spot hoping for a hand-out (don't feed anything). One of the most beautiful hikes around. If you think you're a strong hiker but haven't done many hikes or aren't used to the altitude, bring enough water for about a seven hour hike. Stronger hikers can make it in about 5 1/2 hours & seasoned hikers less--but count on a bottle of water (and Gatoraid) every hour....

Grand Targhee

Grand Targhee is located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Western Wyoming. Our base is at 8,000 ft in the magnificent Teton Mountain Range, 42 miles west of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and 87 miles northeast of Idaho Falls, Idaho. We are famous for our consistently superb snow conditions with over 500 inches annually....

Jackson Hole
26 miles away
What a drop compared to what I'm used to back home on the east coast, just goes on and on. I'll definetily be going back to Jackson Hole this year too, it's great....
