You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mirror Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Creek Campground; drift down the rapids of Tensleep Creek in a kayak. A lake close by is Lost Twin Lakes, and Elk Park is a wonderful site to check out. Throughout the summer here at Mirror Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down       to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mirror Lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area in the vicinity of Mirror Lake has to offer. The Mistymoon Trail is a great hiking trail close to Mirror Lake, obviously you could also pop by Gunboat Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains, not enough time. Everybody close by loves skiing at Big Horn                  Ski, and going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bighorn Mountains. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Bighorn Mountains. It is very dry here at Mirror Lake frequently; the month with most of the snow is April, and February is the month with the least moisture. There is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Mirror Lake called the Angeline Trail.
