Mirror Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bighorn Mountains. High temperatures at Mirror Lake throughout the warm months are in the 60's, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, commonly in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Mirror Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mirror Lake that you need

| | to camp here for a while, Island Park Campground is a great site for that, and going for a hike on the Mistymoon Trail is always a glorious adventure.
But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Mirror Lake. Places like Elk Park are pleasant to check out; get drenched paddling on Tensleep Creek. Mirror Lake is pretty waterless commonly; the wettest month of the year is frequently April, that's the one that snows the most while February is the month | |

with the least amount of precipitation.
A great close by hotel is H F Bar Ranch, and don't leave Mirror Lake without first going for a hike along the Cliff Lake Trail. And that's not all you can do here in the Bighorn Mountains.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mirror Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Creek Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Angeline Trail.
