     One of the principal highlights of the surroundings of Middle Prong Reservoir is Gobblers Knob, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Boulder Creek. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Middle Prong Reservoir. Boulder Lake Campground is a fine local campground, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Pinedale Inn is a good choice. Middle Prong Reservoir is a location that is reasonably dry commonly; all through the month of May  
   you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Why not camp at Ox-yoke Acres Campground if you're here at Middle Prong Reservoir, and there's delightful hiking along the Burnt Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Granite Road Reservoir is in close proximity to Middle Prong Reservoir; get covered with water paddling on Pole Creek. This is a wonderful vicinity for people who like lakes. Wild Horse Reservoir is
 
               a lake around here, and brilliant hiking is available along the Emigrant Trail. The warmest time of the year at Middle Prong Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while Middle Prong Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's.

scab lake trail is not one for the weak, it is a hard climb with outstanding rewards of beauty & huge high powered brilliantly colored brook trout up to 6 lbs that we know of in scab lake! oh almost forgot the last time I went was July 5 it snowed at scab 18 plus inches, I hope that I remembered to tell that the 11 mile trail to the scab lake is a hard hard climb, I have only made it 3 times to the lake thanks Allen Eagle concrete worker & stock car racer Jackson Hole...
