The Black Hills scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Black Hills. Medicine Flat Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting; you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Hemler Reservoir is one of those nearby. Medicine Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of       the year is February. A perfect place to camp here at Medicine Lake is Hawken Ranch and Hawken Guest Ranch; nearby you locate the Nilson Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Medicine Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Medicine Lake. Just can't get enough of the Black Hills. Medicine Lake is good enough                  to spend more than a day at, Mountain View Campground is a good local campground; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Lanning Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Devils Tower Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. One of the principal characteristics of the surroundings of Medicine Lake is Green Mountain, and the Table Mountain Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby.
