Not far from Meadowlark Lake, you'll hit upon Tensleep Reservoir which is a scenic lake, and you could always discover Warner Draw. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. A day on the slopes of Big Horn Ski is just what you need, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Main Paint Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Lake View Campground is a fine local campground, and Paintrock Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bighorn Mountains. There are other sites here than Meadowlark Lake, for example Bear Lake; it's a great idea to check out Bull Creek. Around Meadowlark Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; April is when                  you get the most snow here while February is generally the driest month. While you're here at Meadowlark Lake you can take a hike along the Cliff Lake Trail, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Tensleep Reservoir Dam in the vicinity of Meadowlark Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Meadowlark Lake temperatures are regularly in the 60's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Meadowlark Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
