Going for a hike on the Angeline Trail is always a perfect adventure, and Cloud Peak Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Mead you discover the Solitude Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Tensleep Creek. Go for a hike on the Penrose Park Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything       Lake Mead has to offer, you can camp at Highland Park Campground. Lake Mead gets very little rain; most of the snow falls through April, and the driest month is February. At Lake Mead through the days of summer highs are in the 60's with overnight lows in the 30's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Lake Mead. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Lake Mead.
