Lake McLain is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lake View Campground is a good local campground, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Powder River - North Fork. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Mistymoon Trail, and a lovely lake like East Tensleep Lake is a perfect site to go to. Around Lake McLain you       don’t get a lot of rainfall; most of the snow falls during April while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. A glorious nearby hotel is Sheridan-Days Inn. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake McLain you can take a hike along the Angeline Trail, and a great place for whitewater paddling                  is Tensleep Creek. Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a perfect time. If the weather is delightful here at Lake McLain, you can go for a hike along the Solitude Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake McLain that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Creek Campground is a nice spot for that. During the warm months, highs regularly are in the 60's at Lake McLain, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's.
