If you like lakes and you're in this part of Wyoming you can check out Mays Lake. Mays Lake is located in the Wind River Range. Yeah, come up here to the Wind River Range for a good time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Bull Lake Creek, and you could always look at Haily Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge. All the outdoors exciting things in the Wind River

| | Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. Lakes? Sure, Skull Lake is in the vicinity; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Hailey Pass Trail. This lake is so wonderful. From Mays Lake you acquire a fine panorama of Dike Mountain. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mays Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dickinson Creek Campground. If you want to have a look at some interesting stuff, have a look at Hooker Glacier, and the Shadow | |

Lake Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. Take a little trip to Washakie Creek while you're here at Mays Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Pyramid Lake Trail. During the long summer days at Mays Lake temperatures
are generally in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Mays
Lake sink into the 10's. And that's not all you can do here at Mays Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Pyramid Lake, and you can stay the night at Big Sandy Campground. It is very
dried up here at Mays Lake regularly; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and December on the other hand is the driest.

Bears Ears Trail
The Bears Ears trail is superb. My Sierra Club crew did a lot of trail work here near Mt. Chavenet, and built the replacement Moss Creek footbridge. The Washakie Ranger group are great!...
Ice Lakes
1 PHOTO I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork....
Sonnicant Lake
Lake is centraly located in the saint lawrence basin lakes. Good views, makina (lake)trout mostly, easy 9 hour hike....
Papoose Lake
Lake seemed fishless although a beautiful lake. Was there 2 days and only saw 1 rise. Nice place to camp though as there is low traffic. Make sure you follow outlet to avoid massive rock pile....
