If you like lakes and you're in this part of Wyoming you can check out Mates Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Mates Reservoir is right by the Bear Gulch Trail, and naturally South Fork Earley Creek flows through this neighborhood. Just can't get enough of Mates Reservoir. If you came to camp Tongue River Campground is a magnificent spot to do that, and hiking along the Tepee Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Mates Reservoir

There's whitewater on Tongue River for all you adrenaline junkies, and the skiing at Antelope Butte is fine. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Sheridan; Mates Dam is a spot that is near Mates Reservoir. Not much rainfall falls here at Mates Reservoir; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is commonly the driest month.

you could also check out Belish Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. If you need a location to stay Best Western Sheridan Center is a perfect choice. There's so much to do here at Mates Reservoir that you need to camp here
for a while, Foothills Motel and Campground is a magnificent location for that. For the period of the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Mates Reservoir. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into
the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Mates Reservoir temperatures sink to the 0's.
