     This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Marys Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dickinson Creek Campground, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Bull Lake Creek. It is very dry here at Marys Lake regularly; all through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is December. There's so much to do here at Marys Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Sandy Campground is a good location  
   for that, needless to say you could also pop by Shoe Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Marys Lake highs are generally in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Marys Lake are in the 10's.                locations to explore along the Washakie Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge. Don't leave Marys Lake without first going for a hike along the Moss Lake Trail, and don't forget to take a pleasant little tour to East Fork Marys Creek.
So much fun stuff in the Wind River Range, just impressive. Go for a hike on the Gaylord Lake Trail. Marys Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Wind River Range. The sight of Hobbs Peak from Marys Lake is delightful; perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Squaw Lake is just a very short distance away.

Lake seemed fishless although a beautiful lake. Was there 2 days and only saw 1 rise. Nice place to camp though as there is low traffic. Make sure you follow outlet to avoid massive rock pile....

I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork....
