All year is a perfect time in the Absaroka Range if you like the outdoors. Jack Creek Campground is a great campground nearby, and there's whitewater on Greybull River for all you adrenaline people. During the summer months at Martin Lake highs are usually in the 80's. All       through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Martin Lake are in the 10's. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Good hiking is available along the Jack Creek Trail, and Martin Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Brown Mountain Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is                  a popular thing to do around Martin Lake; Piney Creek Trail is a delightful local trail, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Martin Lake Dam. Martin Lake is pretty dry regularly; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January.
