    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Martin Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Absaroka Range. Lakes are tremendous; Big Piney Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Martin Lake, and The Cody is a wonderful spot to get some rest. So much exciting stuff in the Absaroka Range, just amazing. Paddling on Greybull River is so much fun. Summertime highs at Martin Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools  
   down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Martin Lake.
Be careful coming to Martin Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Don't leave Martin Lake without first going for a hike along the Jack Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Martin Lake has to offer, you can camp at Jack Creek Campground. Jack Creek is a scenic stream that is worth visiting,
 
               and there's pleasant hiking along the Piney Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Martin Lake, you'll locate Belknap Creek Number 1 Reservoir which is a beautiful lake, and Martin Lake Dam has wonderful water scenery.
The Haymaker Timber Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Martin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Brown Mountain Campground is a delightful place for that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. At Martin Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls through May, and January is the month with the least moisture.
