     Take a little trip to Jack Creek if you're here at Martin Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Haymaker Timber Creek Trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. Lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Belknap Creek Number 1 Reservoir close to Martin Lake, and Martin Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Jack Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground. You just must  
   love the Absaroka Range. If you need a spot to stay The Cody is a magnificent choice.
Martin Lake gets very little precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January. Summertime at Martin Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are mostly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Martin Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. The
 
               Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Greybull River; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Jack Creek Trail. There are other locations here than Martin Lake, for example Big Piney Reservoir, and an attention-grabbing thing to check out near Martin Lake is Martin Lake Dam. Just can't get enough of Martin Lake. Camping at Brown Mountain Campground is always a great experience, and going for a hike on the Piney Creek Trail is always a perfect adventure.
