Just can't get enough of Mariposa Lake. Hatchet Campground is a good campground nearby. Throughout the summertime months at Mariposa Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Mariposa Lake. If you need a place to stay Colter Bay Village is       a splendid choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Turpin Meadow Campground is a delightful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Two Ocean Plateau Trail, and Plateau Falls is a picturesque site to go to while you're at Mariposa Lake. The Snake River Trail offers hiking at its best, and lakes are such calm spots, why not check out Emerald Lake. Mariposa Lake is pretty dried up frequently; the wettest month of the year                  is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most, and October is when it's the driest.
