    What a nice lake Madison Lake is. All through the warmest time of the year here at Madison Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; night lows at Madison Lake during the wintertime mostly dip into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Teton Range. There's tremendous hiking along the Mallard Lake Trail; get dripping wet paddling on Snake  
   River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Gray Wolf Inn & Suites is a glorious choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Madison Lake; Union Falls Trail is a splendid local trail.
Sunset Lake is a wonderful lake near Madison Lake, and don't leave Madison Lake without first going for a hike along the Summit Lake Trail. Madison Lake is pretty dry mostly; most of the rain falls during June; October is the month with the least moisture.
 
               What a site this is for outdoors folks. Madison Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Cave Falls Campground is a good location to camp nearby.
Lakes? Sure, Swamp Lake is in the neighborhood, and Trischman Knob is striking and can be made out from here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Teton Range.

It's not a hard hike, but it is a long one, take time to swim in the hot springs near bye and take lunch at the fall so you can get back by sun down. It is grizzly area so watch out. A friend of mine spotted two cubs on one of her trips....
