On a glorious day at Macon Lake you can take a hike along the Shadow Lake Trail, and camping is available at Dickinson Creek Campground. So much fun stuff in the Wind River Range, just unbelievable. On a pretty day you obtain a view of Bair Peak from Macon Lake, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Hailey Pass Trail.
