There's some flowing water nearby, Lake Creek is a stream you can check out while here. There's so much to do here at Mackinaw Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pinnacle Campground is a wonderful location for that. While you're here at Mackinaw       Lake you can take a hike along the Soda Fork Trail, and sites like Pendergraft Meadow are fine to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the DuNoir Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mackinaw Lake has to offer, you can camp at Brooks Lake Campground. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Mackinaw Lake has it all. Through the long summer                  days, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Mackinaw Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Mackinaw Lake.
