    Go to MacLeod Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at MacLeod Lake you can take a hike along the Granite Highline Trail, and if you came to camp Granite Creek Campground is a great place to do that. MacLeod Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range.
Just can't get enough of MacLeod Lake. Get yourself into a kayak
 
   and hit Granite Creek, and the vista of Corner Peak is scenic. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Camping at Kozy Campground is always a good experience, and if you come at the right time of year, Hoback River offers some wonderful whitewater. Through the months of summer at MacLeod Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration  
               of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at MacLeod Lake dip into the-10's.
Heart Six Dude Ranch is a glorious place to get some rest; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the High Line Trail. MacLeod Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is generally the driest month. There is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to MacLeod Lake called the Sawmill Park Trail; probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Shoal Lake is just a very short distance away.
