Dry warm beds await you at Colter Bay Village, and the Granite Highline Trail       is a good hiking trail close by. MacLeod Lake is located in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. Shoal Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; going for a hike on the Sawmill Park Trail is always a tremendous adventure. There is a great hiking trail next to MacLeod Lake called the High Line Trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Granite Creek. At MacLeod Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that snows the most; July meanwhile is the driest month.
