     Luce Reservoir gets very little rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. But wait, there's more to do near Luce Reservoir. The Morrison Trail is a magnificent hiking trail near Luce Reservoir, and if you come at the right time of year, Shoshone River offers some wonderful whitewater. This place, the Absaroka Range, has so much outdoors fun things. Hogan Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check  
   out, and nearby you stumble on the Custer National Forest Trail which is a good hiking trail.
Why not camp at Dead Indian Campground while you're here at Luce Reservoir, and do check out Sheep Creek since you're here at Luce Reservoir. Luce Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. Dry warm beds await you at Cody Cowboy Village, and drift down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it
 
               here in the Absaroka Range. Yellowstone Valley Inn is a splendid local campground; a lake close by is Tippecanoe Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. All through the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Luce Reservoir. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; night lows during the wintertime for Luce Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Cody is a magnificent site to spend a night or two; do stop at Luce Dam while you're here.
