North Platte River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and the best way to spend a winter day is on                  the slopes of nearby Snowy Range. There's some flowing water nearby, Arrastre Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here; if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. One of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of Lower Missouri Lake is Gold Hill, and there are plenty of folks from Laramie here at Lower Missouri Lake. Lower Missouri Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lower Missouri Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lower Missouri Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
