Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Bighorn Mountains. The panorama of striking Darton Peak near Lower Frozen Lake is delightful, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Angeline Trail. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Powder River - North Fork, and the Solitude Trail                  is a fine hiking trail nearby. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bighorn Mountains. A wonderful nearby hotel is Story Pines Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Lower Frozen Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Highland Park Campground is a good local campground; there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Mistymoon Trail. Not much rain falls here at Lower Frozen Lake; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
