And that's not everything there is to do here in the Bighorn Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Circle Park Campground is a splendid site to camp. It is very dried up here at Lower Frozen Lake regularly; April is the wettest month with most snow, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lower Frozen Lake without first going for       a hike along the Angeline Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Powder River - North Fork offers some delightful whitewater. Highland Park Campground is a good local campground, and the Mistymoon Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Lower Frozen Lake through the months of summer are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight                  here at Lower Frozen Lake. If you get bored of Lower Frozen Lake, you could also have a look at close by Upper Frozen Lake, and there's glorious hiking along the Solitude Trail. So many entertaining things in the Bighorn Mountains, just remarkable. Lower Frozen Lake is not the only spot nearby, Lake Angeline is a nearby lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Tensleep Creek. Lower Frozen Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. From Lower Frozen Lake you get a fine vista of Darton Peak, and Sheridan-Days Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest.
