     This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Lost Twin Lakes get into the 60's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Lost Twin Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Do go to Maybelle Lake near Lost Twin Lakes, it's a beautiful lake, and camping at Lake View Campground is always a  
   great experience.
This lake is so wonderful. Lost Twin Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Creek Campground is a great local campground, and a pretty lake like Lake McLain is a great spot to visit. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bighorn Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Powder River - North Fork. Lost Twin Lakes gets very little rainfall; April is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is February.
 
               Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Solitude Trail; Darton Peak is striking and can be observed from here. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Bighorn Mountains. A magnificent close by hotel is Days Inn Sheridan, and Lost Twin Lakes is right by the Angeline Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Lost Twin Lakes. Get wet paddling on Tensleep Creek, and do take a hike on the Mistymoon Trail.
