It is very dry here at Lost Lake commonly; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is December. All through the summer months at Lost Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime       lows in the 10's for Lost Lake. A lake close by is Gaylord Lake, and camping at Big Sandy Campground is always a good experience. So much fun stuff to do here in the Wind River Range, too delightful to be true. Gaylord Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. Lost Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Gaylord Lake Trail; the panorama of Valentine                  Mountain is charming. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Lost Lake. While you're here at Lost Lake you can take a hike along the Washakie Trail, and Lost Lake is not the only location nearby, Moss Lake is a nearby lake. Man, is there a load of amusing stuff to do in the Wind River Range.
