At Lost Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lost Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Black Hills. A great place to camp here at Lost Lake is Hawken Ranch and Hawken Guest Ranch. Not       much precipitation falls here at Lost Lake; the month with most of the rain is June; February is the month with the least moisture. Middle Fork Miller Creek flows through this area, and glorious hiking is available along the Lanning Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn At Sundance, and you acquire a tremendous sight of The Rocks from here. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Why not camp at Devil's Tower Fort since you're here at Lost Lake,                  and the vistas at Devils Tower National Monument will blow your mind. This lake is so wonderful. Miller Creek Dam is a wonderful place near Lost Lake, and going for a hike on the Simmons Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is located in the wonderful Black Hills. All year is a tremendous time in the Black Hills if you fancy the outdoors.
