Around Loon Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while October is regularly the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Teton Range. This place, the Teton Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. There's splendid hiking along the Old Marysville Road. A good close by hotel is Grand Targhee Ski And Summer Resort; hiking       is a popular thing to do around Loon Lake; Bechler River Trail is a fine local trail. Camping is available at Cave Falls Campground, and paddling on Bitch Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Teton Campground if you're here at Loon Lake, and why not a little side tour to Calf Creek. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Teton Range. Get soaked paddling on Bitch Creek, and a pleasant journey to Falls River Basin is a                  wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Loon Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Loon Lake drop into the 0's. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Loon Lake is excellent!
