What a nice lake Loomis Lake is. Be careful coming to the Bighorn Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Tensleep Creek, and Lake Geneva Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene sites, why not pop by Bard Lake close to Loomis Lake; going for a hike on the Cliff Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure. It is very dried out here at Loomis Lake ordinarily;

| | the month with most of the snow is April, and February is the month with the least moisture. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Loomis Lake has to offer. Go for a hike on the Mistymoon Trail, and Loomis Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Highland Park Campground is a good place to camp nearby. for a hike along the Solitude Trail; the vista of pretty Black Tooth Mountain is great. That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Bighorn Mountains has it all. Antelope Butte has good slopes
and a friendly staff. A great place for whitewater paddling near Loomis Lake is Paintrock Creek, and a picturesque lake like Spear Lake is a brilliant place to take a look at. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's
to Loomis Lake with nighttime lows in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Loomis Lake.
