This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Snowy Range if you're here, and going for a hike on the Circle Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Camping at Mirror Lake       Campground is always a fine experience, and whitewater paddling is perfect on North Platte River. A pleasant site to camp here at Lookout Lake is Lewis Lake Campground; the Snowy Range towers over Lookout Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Bellamy Lake is close to Lookout Lake, and Snowy Range Pass is a tremendous place to spend some time. Lookout Lake is a location that is quite dehydrated frequently; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while                  February is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. First Enlargement of Wiant Dam is a place that is close to Lookout Lake. Lookout Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Lookout Lake called the Medicine Bow Trail, and Medicine Bow Peak is pretty and can be spotted from here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lookout Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Lookout Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
