The warmest time of the year at Lookout Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Lookout Lake tend to be in the 10's. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do in the neighborhood of Lookout Lake. There's always First Enlargement of Wiant Dam to go to       in close proximity to Lookout Lake, and nearby you come across the Medicine Bow Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Lookout Lake is a beautiful lake in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at Lookout Lake you could always look at Snowy Range Pass, and the slopes of Snowy Range are so inviting noone can resist. Yeah, come up here to the Medicine Bow Mountains for a glorious time. There's so much to do here at Lookout Lake that                  you need to camp here for a while, Lewis Lake Campground is a nice place for that, and you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Mirror Lake. Lookout Lake is pretty arid generally; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. If you need a spot to stay The Sage And Sand Motel LLC is a glorious choice, and this is a glorious location in the shadow of the Snowy Range. Be careful coming to the Medicine Bow Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lookout Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mirror Lake Campground, and going for a hike on the Circle Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Medicine Bow Peak is clearly visible from Lookout Lake, and a great location for whitewater paddling is North Platte River.
