Dry warm beds await you at The Sage And Sand Motel LLC; a great spot to camp here at Long Lake is Helena Campground. High temperatures at Long Lake all through the days of summer are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while Long Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Be careful coming to Long       Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Not far from Long Lake you get some nice water scenery at Spring Lake Dam. A short spree to Rock Springs is always worthwhile, and why not camp at Pelton Creek Campground since you're here at Long Lake. Long Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is April, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Fryingpan Trail; in the event                  that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Platte River.
