You'll need more than a day to explore everything Little Shell Lake has to offer, you can camp at Upper Paint Rock Lake Campground, and after a long day outdoors The Passage Resort at Big Horn is a great place to spend a night or two. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Little Shell Lake get into the 60's while overnight lows are typically in the 30's. For the period       of the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Little Shell Lake tend to be in the 0's. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Good hiking is available along the North High Park Trail. There's so much to do here at Little Shell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Medicine Lodge Lake Campground is a good place for that. Having a good time                  in the Bighorn Mountains is simple. Don't leave Little Shell Lake without first going for a hike along the Edelman Trail, and get soaked paddling on Tongue River. Yeah, come here to Little Shell Lake for a splendid time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Shell Lake; Main Paint Rock Trail is a perfect local trail, and of course Porcupine Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. This is a delightful area for people who like lakes. Lakes of the Rough is a lake nearby. The skiing at Antelope Butte is wonderful, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Shell Lake is just a very short distance away. Little Shell Lake is pretty arid regularly; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is February.
