A great close by hotel is Yodeler Motel, and you can go for a hike on the Lewis and Clark Trail. Any time is a good time at Little Bear Lake if you love the outdoors. A good spot for whitewater paddling near Little Bear Lake is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and going for a hike on the Beauty Lake Trail is always a glorious adventure. Chain Lakes is a nearby       lake that you could visit, and if you came to camp Island Lake Campground is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in the neighborhood of Little Bear Lake; if you get bored of Little Bear Lake you could also pop by nearby Long Lake. All through the summer months highs here at Little Bear Lake reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the                  20's while Little Bear Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. The yearly rain here at Little Bear Lake is about average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more entertaining things to do in the Absaroka Range. There's so much to do here at Little Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Long Lake Campground is a great site for that. Little Bear Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range.
