Looking for some flowing water? Try Pass Creek; get yourself into a kayak and hit Powder River - North Fork. Drift down the rapids of Tensleep Creek in a kayak; do take a hike on the Angeline Trail. It is very dry here at Lame Deer Lake regularly; April is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is February. That right there is plenty       of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Bighorn Mountains has it all. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Buffalo is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lame Deer Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Circle Park Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Mistymoon Trail. Summertime highs at Lame Deer Lake typically tend to be in the 60's, and through summer                  nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lame Deer Lake are in the 0's. Stay the night at Sourdough Campground, and you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Firehole Lakes is one of those close by. Be careful coming to the Bighorn Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Solitude Trail.
