Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Lake Owen. Lake Owen is a great location to camp, Lake Owen Campground is a great location, and going for a hike on the Pache Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Not much rain falls here at Lake Owen; July is when you get the most rain here while February is frequently the driest month. You don’t have to go far from Lake Owen to distinguish the water       at Lake Owen Dam, and a lake nearby is Lake Owen. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Lake Owen. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Lake Owen dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. You clearly have to have a thing about the Medicine Bow Mountains. Stay the night at Hidden Valley Picnic - Medicine Bow National Forest; you can                  go for a hike on the Mendenhall Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Laramie River, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Laramie. These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Gotta ski! Snowy Range is a perfect site to do that; of course North Fork Squirrel Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Owen is a beautiful lake in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
