Lake Cook is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Lake Cook is located in the Black Hills. Lake Cook is pretty dry frequently; through June this area sees the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
So many exciting things to do at Lake Cook, so little time. Visit Deer Creek since you're here at Lake Cook; you can go for a hike on the Rauth Trail. At Lake Cook during the warm days of summer

| | highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Cook dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Lake Cook Dam is pretty and it's in the neighborhood of Lake Cook, and Lake Cook is great enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain View Campground is a great local campground.

Hills. There's so much to do here at Lake Cook that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Lodge Campground is a great place for that, and going to Devils Tower National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Black Hills. Rodeway Inn Sundance Mountain Inn is a delightful place to get some rest; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Cook Lake. Dry warm beds
await you at Best Western Inn At Sundance, and going for a hike on the Simmons Trail is always a great adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. Scott Spring is always fun to check out, and don't leave Lake Cook without first going for a hike along the Lanning Trail.
