It's always fun to stop by Kearney Lake. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek; not far from Kearney Lake you'll find Kearny Lake Reservoir which is a picturesque lake. The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All year is a magnificent time in the Bighorn Mountains if you go for the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Sheridan-Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, and there

| | are other sites here than Kearney Lake, for example Lake Winnie. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Penrose Park Trail; camping is available at Highland Park Campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Bighorn Mountains. spot in the vicinity of Kearney Lake; there's great hiking along the Solitude Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Kearney Lake. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to
the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kearney Lake. Wingate by Wyndham Sheridan WY is a great site to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Little Goose Campground is a good site to camp. Kearney Lake
is pretty dried up generally; during the month of April you get the most snow around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
