     The beauty of Kearney Lake attracts many people from all around. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A wonderful location to camp here at Kearney Lake is Highland Park Campground; get soaked paddling on Tensleep Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. Kearney Lake is commonly a relatively dry spot; April is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is February.

   Kearney Lake highs are generally in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Kearney Lake are in the 0's. Why not camp at Little Goose Campground if you're here at Kearney Lake, and going for a hike on the Stockwell Trail is always a glorious adventure. Why not stop by Kearney Lake Dam since you're here, and if you need a site to stay Wingate by Wyndham Sheridan  
               WY is a delightful choice.
Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a magnificent time. The Penrose Park Trail is a good hiking trail close to Kearney Lake. All the outdoors fun things in the Bighorn Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Lakes? Sure, Flatiron Lake is around here, and Sheridan-Days Inn is a nice spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Kearney Lake, for example Cloud Peak Reservoir, and close by you locate the Solitude Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
