Katy Reservoir gets very little precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Katy Dam is picturesque and it's close to Katy Reservoir; if you're visiting from Casper, you won't be the only one. The beauty of mother nature reveals       herself at Hillcrest Spring, and a glorious place to camp here at Katy Reservoir is Fort Casper Campground. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are truly abundant here at Katy Reservoir. Some of the water close by flows, like Casper Creek, and hiking along the Bates Hole Stock Trail is great fun. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a scenic lake called East Fork Wolf Creek Reservoir near Katy Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Suites                  Casper is a delightful choice. Camping at Fairside Trailer Svc is always a good experience, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Paradise Valley Golf Club is close by. During the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at Katy Reservoir, and the night is slightly colder of course, frequently in the 50's.
