Lakes are such serene locations, why not pop by Scotch Plunge right next door to Jones Reservoir; Black Canyon is in the neighborhood, and is a glorious place. This lake is so wonderful. The Block is an interesting place to check out while at Jones Reservoir, and the Johnson Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Wind River, and Jones Reservoir is       brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Latch String Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Jones Dam, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Thermopolis is a pleasant choice. Jones Reservoir is pretty dehydrated generally; May is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. Summer at Jones Reservoir arrives with high                  temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Jones Reservoir. There are other spots here than Jones Reservoir, for example Rainbow Terraces, and camping at Fountain Of Youth RV Park is always a pleasant experience. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Jones Reservoir.
