  This lake is so wonderful. Vermilion Creek, North Fork is a good local campground. If you came for an overnight stay Brown's Park State Wildlife Area - Wiggins Unit 2 is a splendid place to camp. John Erickson Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Rock Springs is a pleasant place to spend a night or two.
John Erickson Reservoir is commonly a reasonably dried up spot. Of all the months in a year May is the one
    with the most rain; the driest month is January. Summertime at John Erickson Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's.
