At Jim Lake you don’t see much rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Wind River Range. If you need a place to stay Best Western Pinedale Inn is a wonderful       choice, and going for a hike on the Jim Lake Trail is always a pleasant adventure. But wait, there's more to do next to Jim Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Upper Silver Lakes, and you can stay the night at Scab Creek Campground. Jim Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. There is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Jim Lake called the Boundary Creek Trail, and                  Jim Lake is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Big Sandy Campground is a wonderful site to camp nearby. Through the summer months highs here at Jim Lake get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's.
