Go to Jack Post Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. It is very dried up here at Jack Post Reservoir usually; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Jack Post Reservoir is a site with many visitors from Casper; a lake nearby is Jackpot Reservoir.
There are great locations to discover along the E-k Trail; there's always Jack Pot Dam to visit in the neighborhood of Jack Post

| | Reservoir. Through the summer months at Jack Post Reservoir highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while Jack Post Reservoir overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. Go for a hike on the Okie Trail, of course you could also explore Charlotte Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all.
