J Smith Reservoir is commonly a rather dried out spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is great on Tensleep Creek, and hiking along the North High Park Trail is nice fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Big Horn Ski is right next door to J Smith Reservoir. Any time is a great       time at J Smith Reservoir if you adore the outdoors. A delightful site near J Smith Reservoir is Dry Gulch, also J Smith Dam is worth a visit since you're here. North Fork Brokenback Creek is in the neighborhood of J Smith Reservoir and is always a pleasure to go to, and J Smith Reservoir is right by the Kinky White Trail. Summertime highs at J Smith Reservoir usually tend to be in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of                  the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at J Smith Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Paintrock Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and camping is available at Leigh Creek Campground. Smith Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and camping at Flagstaff Campground is always a splendid experience.
