There are pleasant sites to explore along the Seneca Lake Trail, and camping at Upper Fremont Lake Campground is always a splendid experience. Dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn & Suites Pinedale. So many fun things to do in the Wind River Range, not sufficient time. While you're here at Island Lake, you could also stop at charming Titcomb Lakes, and going for a       hike on the Titcomb Basin Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Island Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Trails End Campground is a good local campground, and Best Western Pinedale Inn is a great place to get some rest. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. Summertime highs at Island Lake typically tend to be in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets                  highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Island Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. From Island Lake you acquire a fine sight of Elephant Head, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder Creek. This place, the Wind River Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Do go to Little Seneca Lake near Island Lake, it's a lovely lake, and Indian Basin is right here at Island Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Pole Creek, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Indian Pass Trail. It is very dehydrated here at Island Lake frequently; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more to do next to Island Lake.
