Camping is available at Upper Fremont Lake Campground, and a glorious swamp right next door to Island Lake is Big Water Slide. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Titcomb Lakes is nearby, and do take a hike on the Seneca Lake Trail. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Not far from Island Lake, you'll stumble on Little Seneca Lake which is a charming       lake; you can run the rapids of Boulder Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Lester Pass is a tremendous spot to go if you're at Island Lake; Island Lake is right by the Titcomb Basin Trail. If you need a site to stay Hampton Inn Suites Pinedale is a pleasant choice. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Pole Creek, and Indian Basin is right here at Island Lake. If you like the outdoors, you'll like Island Lake. The Indian Pass Trail offers                  hiking at its best, and the top of Elephant Head is easily distinguished from Island Lake. Island Lake gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month is February. Yeah, come up here to the Wind River Range for a glorious time. Camping at Trails End Campground is always a fine experience, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Pinedale Inn. For the duration of the days of summer here at Island Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's.
