This lake is so wonderful. A charming lake like Meadow Lake near Island Lake is a glorious place to visit, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Lewis and Clark Trail. There's so much       to do here at Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Long Lake Campground is a wonderful site for that, and if you need a place to stay Yodeler Motel is a wonderful choice. From a precipitation point of view Island Lake is a rather typical place; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is October. Island Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. This place, Island Lake, it clearly has so much                  outdoors cool stuff. The snow is magnificent at Red Lodge Mountain; drift down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak. Night Lake is a tremendous lake in the neighborhood of Island Lake; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Absaroka Range. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Island Lake has to offer, you can camp at Island Lake Campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Beauty Lake Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Island Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's.
