This lake is so wonderful. Cony Mountain is gorgeous and can be distinguished from Island Lake. Island Lake is one of the lakes here in the Wind River Range. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Since you're here at Island Lake why not visit Atlantic Canyon; there are other places here than Island Lake, for example Thumb Lake. Yeah, come here to Island Lake for a       great time. Stay the night at Popo Agie Campground, and going for a hike along the Petes Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Fiddlers Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and Island Lake is right by the Christina Lake Trail. Through the summertime months at Island Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 30's while the                  cold winter nights at Island Lake are in the 10's. That right there is a heap of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Wind River Range has it all. Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a tremendous spot to get some rest; get wet paddling on Middle Popo Agie River. Hiking along the Stough Creek Basin Trail is tremendous fun. Lakes? Sure, Calvert Lakes is close by. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Riverton here; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn At Lander.
