     Irma Lake is a nice lake to visit. Irma Lake is pretty dehydrated generally; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and January on the other hand is the driest. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range. High temperatures at Irma Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's;  
   through the dark hours in the wintertime at Irma Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's.
If you come at the right time of year, Greybull River offers some brilliant whitewater, and going for a hike on the Jack Creek Trail is always a great adventure. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is plentiful here in the Absaroka Range. Glide down the rapids of Shoshone River in a kayak, and don't leave Irma Lake without first going for a hike along the South Piney Trail.
 
               You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Irma Lake. Cody Cowboy Village is a great spot to get some rest, and there are great spots to look at along the Piney Creek Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little visit to Irma Lake Dam while you're here at Irma Lake, and if you came to camp Yellowstone Valley Inn is a tremendous location to do that. A good close by hotel is The Cody; Irma Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Jack Creek Campground is a great local campground.
