Icefloe Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do right next door to Icefloe Lake. If you haven’t been to Grand Teton National Park, you must schedule some time for it if you're here, and if you've had enough of Icefloe Lake, Snowdrift Lake is nearby. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Snow King, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Gros Ventre River. So much cool stuff in the Teton Range, just
extraordinary. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Jackson Hole, and don't leave Icefloe Lake without first paying a visit to Shoshoko Falls.
This lake is so wonderful. Hurricane Pass is a brilliant spot to spend some time at, and you'll meet a lot of people from Jackson here. Icefloe Lake gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is August. Just can't get enough of the Teton Range. After

a long day outdoors Snake River Lodge And Spa is a delightful spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Icefloe Lake you can take a hike along the Alaska Basin Trail. There's so much to do here at Icefloe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Teton Campground is a tremendous place for that. Get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of Ditch Creek, and if you need a place to stay Alpenhof Lodge is a wonderful choice. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Teton Range. Icefloe Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Teton Village / Jackson West KOA is a delightful local campground, and you need to stop at Middle Teton Glacier while you're here.
If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great earth it would be. If the weather is good here at Icefloe Lake, you can go for a hike along the Paintbrush Divide Trail, and Icefloe Lake is not the only location close by, Kit Lake is a close by lake. Summertime at Icefloe Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Icefloe Lake. Lake Solitude Trail
July 18, 2008 Just got back from a hike to the lake yesterday. Always incredibly beautiful at any time of year (when the trail is open) A lot of flowers blooming earlier than usual because of the copious amount of melt. A bull moose, sow and calf near the trail just past the fork. The last half mile is covered in snow so that can slow you down a little. The lake is still almost completely iced over. Saw two 13'' fish (trout?) in the small, open area of the lake. Marmots snuck around our lunch spot hoping for a hand-out (don't feed anything). One of the most beautiful hikes around. If you think you're a strong hiker but haven't done many hikes or aren't used to the altitude, bring enough water for about a seven hour hike. Stronger hikers can make it in about 5 1/2 hours & seasoned hikers less--but count on a bottle of water (and Gatoraid) every hour....

Jackson Hole
What a drop compared to what I'm used to back home on the east coast, just goes on and on. I'll definetily be going back to Jackson Hole this year too, it's great....

Jenny Lake Campground
We love Jenny Lake and want to camp their with our family and friends...4 kids, 4 adults.  I am worried about not having reservations....is that a problem?...Jenny Lake Campground was awesome. The view was amazing. It was quite and secluded, the camp store is just a short walk from the camping sites. The lake is beautiful and quiet, no boats zipping around. We stayed at site #50, other sites that I would recommend are 45,46 and 47. These sites have the best view. The best thing was the FLUSH toilets. If you want a vacation away form all of the touristy things you should definitly stay at Jenny Lake. If you get there in the afternoon grab a site. You can always move the next day. It seemed like a lot of people only stayed 1 night....

Gros Ventre Campground
12 miles away
Gros Ventre (pronunced GROW-VONT)Campground in Grand Teton National Park is not to be missed. Moose viewing is spectacular, as well as hearing wolves, coytoes, and the sounds the Bison make walking through the campground. Depending on your campsite, try to be close the the Gros Ventre River for Moose viewing, or try to go towards the town of Kelly, for the most magnificent views of the Teton Range....

Grand Targhee
27 miles away
Grand Targhee is located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Western Wyoming. Our base is at 8,000 ft in the magnificent Teton Mountain Range, 42 miles west of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and 87 miles northeast of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
