User input for Ice Lakes, Wind River Range, Fremont County, Wyoming:
I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork.

| | Trail is a nice local trail. At Ice Lakes all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Ice Lakes. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Bull Lake Creek, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Darren Lake. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Ice | |

Lakes. The top of Baily Peak is easily seen from Ice Lakes; Scab Creek Campground is a nice campground nearby. Ice Lakes is a location that is quite dehydrated generally; all through the month of May you get the most rain around
here while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Kagevah Pass is a wonderful place to discover, and there's great hiking along the Middle Fork Trail. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Wind River Range, too nice to be true. While you're here at Ice Lakes, you could also go to delightful Lake Solitude.
