At Ice Lakes you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and December meanwhile is the driest month. Why not camp at Dickinson Creek Campground since you're here at Ice Lakes, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Coon Lake. All through the warm months at Ice Lakes temperatures are frequently in the 80's. For the period of the       dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at Ice Lakes dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a tremendous choice; if you came for an overnight stay Big Sandy Campground is a pleasant site to camp. Ice Lakes is located in the Wind River                  Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wind River Range. You need to check out Chimney Rock while you're here at Ice Lakes. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Go for a hike on the High Meadow Trail; get drenched paddling on Middle Popo Agie River. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Ice Lakes called the Ice Lakes Trail. Lakes? Sure, Black Joe Lake is close by.
