    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Wyoming you can check out Ice Lakes. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. There are brilliant spots to explore along the Pinto Park Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Big Sandy Campground is a magnificent location to camp. Get wet paddling on Middle Popo Agie River, and there are other spots here than Ice Lakes, for example Deep Creek Lakes.
Around Ice Lakes you don’t get a lot of rainfall;

   the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is December. High temperatures at Ice Lakes through the summer months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Ice Lakes tend to be in the 10's. You completely ought to have a thing about the Wind River Range. Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a splendid site to get some rest.

               This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Ice Lakes without first going for a hike along the High Meadow Trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Echo Lakes. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Wind River Range. Going for a hike on the Ice Lakes Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and why not camp at Dickinson Creek Campground since you're here at Ice Lakes. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Ice Lakes. Pinto Park is a nice site to check out; since you're here at Ice Lakes, checking out Chimney Rock is a must.

I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork....
