     Summer at Ice Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Ice Lakes dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. While you're here at Ice Lakes you can take a hike along the Pinto Park Trail. There's so much to do here at Ice Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Dickinson Creek Campground is a pleasant site for that.  
   So many fun things to do in the Wind River Range, not sufficient time. There are other spots here than Ice Lakes, for example Echo Lakes.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Ice Lakes. Lakes? Sure, Deep Creek Lakes is close by, and get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of Middle Popo Agie River. This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range. This site, the Wind River Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Don't leave
 
               Ice Lakes without first checking out Chimney Rock, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Big Sandy Campground is a great location to do that, and going for a hike along the Ice Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. A spree to Pinto Park revitalizes the spirit; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the High Meadow Trail. It is very dehydrated here at Ice Lakes usually; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is December.

I went up there 15 years ago and just got back from another week this last weekend....the fishing was much, much better in the past. I think the WY Game and Fish spends all their golden trout stocking funds on wolves now. The stocking ended the year the wolves were reintroduced.........Hmmm, isn't that interesting! Also....too many llamas and horses bringing the light-weights up the mountain to clutter the place this time....the trails looked like a lost group of Custard's cavalry must still be riding the trails. :( But the beauty of the area will always remain. Thank you, Lord, for your beautiful handiwork....
