At Hourglass Lake you don’t see much rain; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is usually the driest month. The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Bear Lake is one of those close by, and why not check out Little Brooklyn Lake Dam since you're here. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Medicine Bow Mountains       is so good! Browns Peak is simple to spot from Hourglass Lake. Near Hourglass Lake you hit upon the Circle Trail which is a great hiking trail; a great close by hotel is The Sage And Sand Motel LLC. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Medicine Bow Trail, and if you came to camp Upper Nash Fork Campground is a great location to do that. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Going for a hike on the Lakes Trail is always a good adventure,                  and get yourself into a kayak and hit North Platte River. Summertime highs at Hourglass Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hourglass Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
