And that's not everything there is to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend North Platte River, and an attention-grabbing thing to check out in the vicinity of Hourglass Lake is Little Brooklyn Lake Dam. Having a tremendous time at Hourglass Lake is easy. If you get bored of Hourglass Lake, you       could also check out nearby Lost Lake; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Snowy Range. Hourglass Lake is not the only spot nearby, Cutthoat Lake is a nearby lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hourglass Lake; Circle Trail is a tremendous local trail. Summertime at Hourglass Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; night lows                  at Hourglass Lake all through the winter mostly plunge into the 10's. Just can't get enough of the Medicine Bow Mountains. Camping at Upper Nash Fork Campground is always a great experience, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lewis Lake Campground is a glorious spot to do that, and the sight of Browns Peak is charming. Hourglass Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Not much precipitation falls here at Hourglass Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
