Not far from Horseshoe Lake, you'll find Grassy Lake which is a lovely lake, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wind River. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do in the vicinity of Horseshoe Lake. The Dry Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; Bull Lake Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by. You definitely should       adore the Wind River Range. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Horseshoe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Longhorn RV & Motel; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ink Wells Trail. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a good place for                  that. Take a hike on the Dinwoody Trail, and do set aside some time for Hays Park while you're here at Horseshoe Lake. Man, is there a load of exciting things to do in the Wind River Range. There are other places here than Horseshoe Lake, for example Native Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Horseshoe Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Horseshoe Lake. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful.
